American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ben Harper has big plans for 2015. The three time Grammy Winner is gearing up for a reunion with one of his most notable backing bands, The Innocent Criminals. The band has played with Harper for a good portion of his career but, this will be the first time since 2008 that they will play on the same stage as the rock n’ roll guru.
The two musical forces will start their reunion tour by playing four shows in San Francisco at the iconic Fillmore auditorium. The Innocent Criminals first started working with Harper in the early 90’s and have since played on several of his records. In a statement Harper had this to say about the reunion, “The Innocent Criminals are a family, we’ve remained very close over the years and it seemed like we couldn’t wait another minute. It’s time for us to get back on the stage together. We’ve all come full circle in our own ways and it is time we pick up where we left off. It’s creatively time for us to do this.”
