Snoop Dogg is finally giving his reggae alias, Snoop Lion, a break and will begin working on a new album that will most likely be released next year. The popular rapper has signed with Pharrell Williams I Am Other label to record the upcoming record. The two have previously collaborated together on tracks like “Beautiful” and “Drop It Like It’s Hot”.
Pharrell will produce the still untitled album himself and there are reports that funk legend Stevie Wonder and Charlie Wilson will also be making appearances. This of course is a rumor but I would not doubt it since Snoop Dogg has been featured as a guest in dozens of high profile musicians songs. With those connections the rapper will have no trouble bringing in a guest heavy line up for his 13th studio album. This will be his first studio album under the “Dogg” moniker since 2011’s Doggumentary.
