Jamie xx, co-founder of the moody indie rock band The xx, has just announced more details on his debut solo album and his main projects third album. The English musician had this to say about the bands upcoming album, “We’ve got quite a lot of songs that are not finished, but I’m excited about it, It feels a lot more free than when we were making the last record.”
Not only that, but Jamie xx has been making a name for himself as a touring producer and has gathered his own fan base as well. When interviewed by NME Magazine on the new solo record he had this to say, There’s one track where I need to get the vocal on, but I don’t know who the vocalist is going to be yet,” he said. “I never really listen to lyrics, but I can understand a little bit more when it’s spoken word rather than singing. It gets to my head a bit quicker.” With the band feeling “inspired and ready to go” there could be a new album in the future for the popular trio. Stay tuned for more news regarding the album and potential touring.
