System Of A Down announce short tour to mark 100th anniversary of Armenia Genocide

Armenian-American rock band System Of A Down has just announced details on their “Wake Up The Souls” tour. The band will play several dates in Europe during 2015, marking the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The band will also play their first-ever performance in Armenia with a free show in Yerevan’s Republic Square.In an interview lead frontman Serj Tankian said this about the forthcoming tour. “As a band, it’s been one of our dreams to play in Armenia, to be able to play in the homeland of our forefathers while respecting the memory of those that perished in the first genocide of the 20th century will be an honor.” Fans will be delighted by this news as this could possibly mean that SOAD might reveal more tour dates for 2015.
