The popular Isle Of Wight Festival has announced its final two headliners for the June 11th to 14th event. Headlining the UK festival is the Grammy Award winning American rock duo known as The Black Keys and explosive electronic band The Prodigy. The will be joining recently announced Sunday headliner, Fleetwood Mac.
In addition to the announced acts is the inclusion of pop/R&B singer Pharrell Williams who has seen a huge push in popularity this year due to his single “Happy” and collaborations with iconic French electronic artists, Daft Punk.
In an interview with NME, festival organizer John Giddings had this to say about the newly announced acts. “We’ve had The Prodigy before, and they’re one of the best shows we’ve ever had. In terms of rock bands in the world today, I think that The Black Keys and Royal Blood are two of the best out there. I’ve seen Pharrell many times this year; I was in Abu Dhabi with him last Saturday and he’s one of the best performers out there. I’ve known him for 15 years and the success he’s had in the last 18 months, is absolutely incredible.”
