One of California’s newest major multi-genre festivals returns for it’s third installment. Located in the beautiful Napa Valley area, BottleRock Napa is a three day event that showcases local food, art and an impressive array of musical talent. This year is no different as the festival is back with yet another eclectic lineup.
Taking place in May on the 29th to the 31st, the festival will be headlined by Imagine Dragons, No Doubt, Robert Plant and The Avett Brothers. Last years event was headlined by much more seasoned veterans of the music game that was highlighted by 90’s titans The Cure and Outkast. It appears as if this year the organizers behind BottleRock Napa have decided to mix it up with a diverse and exciting roster.
Other notable artists include Foster The People, Passion Pit, Snoop Dogg, Cage The Elephant, Young The Giant, Capital Cities, AWOLNATION, Gipsy Kings, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Portugal The Man, American Authors, Public Enemy, Trampled By Turtles, Los Lobos, Brett Dennen, Echosmith, ZZ Ward, Lettuce, The Mowglis, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Courtney Barnett and many more.
Instead of nabbing a major headliner with the same prestige as The Cure, BottleRock has managed to fuse together some of the most popular live acts around (Imagine Dragons, The Avett Brothers and Foster The People) with older musicians like Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant and California ska/pop band No Doubt.
The highlights are most certainly the top tier acts that span a range of different genres like alternative rock, classic rock, pop, hip hop and folk. However, besides the stellar music lineup the local acts are just as energetic and happy to be playing for the event and should not be missed. Combined with great local vendors and of course a variety of wine straight from the valley, there is little to hate about the three day festival.
Tickets are on sale now on the official BottleRock Napa site. Check out the lineup video below.
