Eddie Vedder and Pete Townshend announce “Celebrating The Who” concert


The Who’s Pete Townshend and Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder are teaming up for aone-off benefit concert in Chicago. Dubbed “Celebrating The Who,” the show will be on May 14th at the Rosemont Theatre.

Joining the two legendary musicians on stage will be Townshend’s brother, guitarist Simon, as well as various touring members of The Who: drummer Zak Starkey, bassist Pino Palladino and a trio of keyboardists in John Corey, Loren Gold, and Frank Simes.

The show will raise money for Townshend and Roger Daltrey’s charity organization Teen Cancer America, which supports programs for teenagers with cancer through the University of Chicago Medicine.
