The Replacements have dropped a huge bomb! The reunited band has just confirmed that they will be releasing a new album along with a documentary titled, Trouble Boys.

coachella_replacements_billie_joe_armstrong_lIn an interview with Billboard interview with the band’s manager, Darren Hill, reveals this isn’t the only new track the ‘Mats have in the can. The band previously said they’d “likely” put out a new album in the future, with seven or eight actual songs having already been recorded at  Waltham, Massachusetts’ Woolly Mammoth Sound and Minneapolis musician Kevin Bowe’s home studio. “It’s just a question of what the band wants to ultimately do with them,” Hill explains. Studio work has been halted while on tour, and the band remains unsigned.

The band has been playing a new track called “Whole Foods Blues” at recent gigs, and now fan-shot video of the song has appeared online. The performance is from their show at Hollywood Palladium last Thursday, April 16th.
