Widespread Panic have announced their long-awaited 12th studio album will be released on September 25th. Street Dogs is the name of the new LP which was recorded as a band, live in the studio, for the first time.

Today’s announcement also revealed Todd Nance will return to his role as Widespread Panic drummer in 2016. Street Dogs was recorded at Echo Mountain Studios in Asheville, North Carolina with long time friend and producer John Keane at the helm. While Todd Nance is expected back in 2016, current drummer Duane Trucks was on board for the Street Dogs recordings.

The new album, which is the band’s first studio LP since 2010’s Dirty Side Down, includes 12 tracks. Check out the album art below.

  1. Worst band picture ever. Why is Jimmy holding a guitar? It looks completely fabricated like some music executive had way, way too much influence over this picture. I hope the same cannot be said for the album.
