Pearl Jam may not perform any October shows in the future because of the Cubs

Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder was recently at a Chicago Cubs playoff game last night, watching his team take a 2-1 series lead in Game 3 of the National League Division Series.

Vedder spoke to Fox Sports Midwest before the game about the Cubs and how Pearl Jam will keep him from attending any potential World Series games. “I thought we could do this every year, but it turns out that you need people like Joe Maddon and Theo Epstein, and all these young guys.”

“It’s been a surprise. We’re touring and I have to leave before the World Series,” Vedder said to Fox Sports Midwest. “All I’m saying is that the next few years we’re not going to play in October.”

While this could all just be a fun joke Vedder decided to conjure up in the spur of the moment there is still the chance that he is not lying. Time will tell, now where is that world tour everyone has been waiting for?
