The US band The Strokes will make their UK live return when they headline Hyde Park on June 18th. The gig will be the band’s first show in Britain in five years and is their only UK festival date of 2015.

Hangout Music Festival announces lineup
Alabama’s premier music event Hangout Music Festival returns to the Gulf Shores with another diverse lineup. The festival takes place in May on the 15th to the 17th and will be headlined by the Foo Fighters, Beck, Zac Brown Band, and Skrillex.

Of course an article like this may sound biased but some people may agree or at least take a moment to think about it. I have loved going to festivals of any kind since I was 10 and this has not changed in the slightest as I have gotten older. The only difference is that I have other things to preoccupy my time with and possibly the largest factor, no money. When I really think about it I should feel awful about complaining on my lack of funds for extravagant music events such as festivals. Most people don’t even care or cannot even fathom the idea of spending cash on a multi-day musical event. However let us just pretend that in a perfect world we could all go to one of these events in the U.S. or the UK for arguments sake. The first question would most likely be who has the best music festivals or in another sense the best music scene? This is a very loaded question because deciding who has the best, is entirely dependent on someones particular music taste.
Festivals: Austin City Limits Music Festival, Top 12 Acts To See
One of the big four music festivals in the U.S., Austin City Music Festival is a multi-genre, three day weekend festival that is located at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas. The festival is occurring on two weekends in October(3-5 and 10-12) and draws an average of 75,000 festival goers each day. With an event this big there is little room for error on crafting an appealing line-up. ACL festival organizers did not disappoint and have created a roster of heavy-hitting chart toppers and festival favorites to rival other massive festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo.
