The annual Fuji Rock Festival held in Naeba Ski Resort, in Niigata Prefecture, Japan is back with their 2015 lineup! The three-day event, organized by Smash Japan, features more than 200 Japanese and international musicians, making it the largest outdoor music event in Japan.

Black Sabbath announces potential farewell gig at Ozzfest in Japan
The legendary Black Sabbath have announced a “farewell” gig set to take place in Japan. The performance will be at the Tokyo leg of Ozzfest on November 22nd. The news was announced by Sharon Osbourne in a Youtube video. It’s not yet known whether this will be the band’s final show or simply their last in Japan.

Japanese musicians have never really hit it big in the U.S. and there is a good reason why. The language barrier is one thing but Japanese artists have slightly different styles that for whatever reason does not get the attention it deserves in America. However, that will not stop X Japan who are one of the largest Japanese heavy metal bands from performing a one-off show at the famous Madison Square Garden in New York. One of the pioneers of the Visual Kei movement, X Japan is one of the most successful rock bands in Japanese history.
