Roger Waters will return to the stage, will headline Newport Folk Festival

The 2015 edition of Newport Folk Festival will take place July 24th – 26th in Newport, Rhode Island. The event has waited until just now to announce their special surprise headliner.

Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters has been confirmed as the Friday night headliner, marking his first live performance since the end of his Wall tour in 2013. According to Rolling Stone, Waters will perform a “very special” setlist curated specifically for Newport.

This year’s lineup also includes Sufjan Stevens, The Decemberists, First Aid Kit, Courtney Barnett, The Tallest Man on Earth, Iron & Wine and Band of Horses’ Ben Bridwell, Laura Marling, J Mascis, Angel Olsen, Leon Bridges, Jose Gonzalez, and more.
